Wife & Husband RV Enthusiasts Modify Their Heartland Cyclone

Heartland Recreational Vehicles recently put the spotlight on a pair of Cyclone toy hauler owners that made interior modifications to their camper to fit their lifestyle. Lisa Brown and her husband, Dan, purchased their Cyclone 4100 back in 2014, and while it served its purpose of hauling the couple’s two Harley-Davidson motorcycles well, Lisa wanted to make the living compartment more functional for longer-term stays. One example of a smaller change was switching out the globes on a pair of pendant lights to add character, but beyond that, Brown primarily focused on introducing clever storage solutions.

Inner Space

One of the biggest needs, according to Lisa, was to put in a new pantry to hold ingredient containers and food. The result is a pullout cabinet with four shelves, two of which are adjustable, with baskets for sorting items. The couple also added a shelving unit for holding cooking tools, napkins, and other items that fits neatly under the Cyclone’s slide-out cabinet and can be removed when the RV is in transit or not in use. The final change is a stemware rack installed above the kitchen island for holding wine and beer glasses.

More On The Heartland Cyclone

The Cyclone is available in several configurations ranging from 39.3 feet (12 meters) up to 44.08 feet (13.4 meters). One specific example, and a popular model on RVUniverse.com, is the Cyclone 4007. It has a dry weight of 16,620 pounds (7,539 kilograms), a hitch weight of 3,665 pounds (1,662 kilograms), a carrying capacity of 3,332 pounds (1,511 kilograms), and gross vehicle weight rating of 20,000 pounds (9,072 kilograms). The toy hauler is 43 feet (13 meters) long and includes a 13-foot (4-meter) garage compartment. It offers 429 square feet (40 square meters) and can sleep up to eight people. Interior highlights include a single-level master suite, his and hers closets, and the option for a sunken tub or shower.
