Inventory Management is your single point of data entry for everything you’d like to sell on a Sandhills Global trade site, as well as your Sandhills-hosted website.

Inventory Management is your single point of data entry for every machine, truck, aircraft, RV, trailer, heifer, bass boat—everything you’d like to sell on a Sandhills Global platform. You only need to enter or import inventory once into IM to advertise it on any applicable Sandhills trade site, as well as your Sandhills-hosted website.

On your mobile device, the Inventory Management app lets you search your inventory, add and update items, get valuations, and more, wherever you are.

    How IM Works

IM is a free, AI-enhanced app in the Sandhills Cloud that lets you enter, edit, remove, and advertise assets across all Sandhills brands. Any changes you make to an asset in IM sync everywhere it appears on Sandhills platforms. This eliminates repetitive effort, so you can get back to selling.

To help you set pricing, the app displays values from the industry-leading VIP+ tool and 12-month value predictions via FutureCast. IM highlights the specifications most important to each asset’s value.

    Inventory Management Key Benefits

    • Comprehensive asset management solution
    • Single-entry inventory for all Sandhills brands and your hosted website
    • AI assistance
    • Updates automatically sync everywhere
    • Retail, auction, wholesale, lease, and rental options
    • Import and export support

    What’s New

As you enter a new asset into IM, you can save time by letting AI write a description of the item. The new Generate AI Description feature creates an engaging, SEO-friendly summary, which you can customize or use as-is. Additionally, FutureCast now displays your current pricing along with its market and auction value predictions for easy comparison.

IM also lets you create a Quick Quote for assets and parts, complete with a photo and your company logo, to help clinch a sale. You can also make a Hot List of specially priced units at no charge to drum up new interest among potential customers.

    Add Photos & Manage Media

Click Add Image to upload photos, videos, and even 360-degree pictures taken around an asset or inside its cab. Simply drag and drop images to rearrange their order of appearance. Place your primary image at the top left.

AI is built into Inventory Management to assist with image selection.

If you upload a photo of the serial number plate or vehicle identification number (VIN) sticker, IM can use AI to read the number and automatically look up the make, model, and other info. This also avoids mistakes from typing in the SN or VIN manually. AI can also select a good primary image of the machine if you don’t rearrange them.

    Manage Listings

On an Inventory Management list page, click the top category to specify the assets you want to review or edit. Filter assets by type, current status, ownership, sales channel, and more. Sort them by model year, stock number, location, manufacturer, aging, price, and other parameters.

When you select one or more items, you can perform bulk actions on multiple assets, such as transferring inventory from one company to another or sending a consignment package to an auctioneer.

Click an asset’s name or the Edit button to open its details page, where you can add more detailed specifications, attach service records, and much more. You can edit several common specs right on the list page, such as price, mileage/hours, online status, and description.

Icon buttons on the right let you perform an inspection, generate a customer quote with a photo and your logo, sell the item on AuctionTime or Equipmentfacts, book heavy transport via FR8Star, arrange a loan via CurrencyFinance, and more.

Updates to the Inventory Management interface make it easier to work with your listings.

    Add Plenty Of Details

An item’s details page is where you input features specific to the product category. You can expand and collapse sections as you enter different types of information. Required fields are marked with red asterisks, and important specs have a red border around them.

A color-coded progress bar indicates how many critical specs you’ve entered, so the unit can get a more accurate valuation and more attention from serious buyers. If you enter a trailer without a model number, IM can create one using the trailer’s length, width, and even its reefer unit brand, if applicable.

The Options menu lets you create an after-sales record, add items to a consignment package or hot list, or go directly to an individual asset’s online traffic data in WebStats.
