Coachmen RV Sells For Full Price In 3 Weeks With An RVUniverse Editorial Ad
An RV owner in western Oregon found that the space it took up in his driveway had begun to outweigh the use he was getting from it. Hence, he decided it was time to sell.
The RV was a 2017 Coachmen Pursuit Class A motorhome with a 27KB floor plan and 50,000 miles (80,500 kilometers) on the odometer. It was constructed on a Ford F-53 chassis with a V-10 gasoline engine. The 29-foot (8.8-meter) camper slept up to six people under dual air conditioners with a walk-around king-size bed and a pull-down queen-size bunk.
The Coachmen also featured a slide-out, a backup camera, and LED lighting. It was equipped with new tires and optional auto-leveling jacks, as well as an Onan generator. Outside, it offered a power awning, a portable BBQ, and an outdoor TV.
A Superior Level Of Exposure
To command attention to the 2017 Coachmen Pursuit, the seller purchased a full-page editorial ad in the Western edition of RVUniverse magazine. This head-turning print ad included a premium listing at the top of the Class A Gas Motorhomes category on RVUniverse.com.
This one-two punch—both online and in print—landed with tremendous effect. The owner’s phone started to ring, sometimes with three or four calls per day.
Calls & Clicks
Online, the Coachmen’s premium listing attracted nearly 78,000 screen impressions in less than three weeks, compelling potential buyers to click 4,250 times for additional photos and information. And all this attention paid off.
“He ended up selling his RV for full asking price in three weeks of being listed with us,” says RVUniverse sales representative Cael Brandt.
