Keystone RV Isolates The Bedroom & Expands The Living Area In The Springdale 281RK

Keystone RV Company has announced its newest affordable Springdale travel trailer among other new models for 2023. The new Springdale 281RK—RK stands for “rear kitchen”—is a 32.4-foot (9.9-meter), 7,405-pound (3,359-kilogram), bumper-pull model. It offers panoramic views, plenty of room for entertaining, and thoughtful features throughout.

S-P-A-C-E

The Springdale 281RK floor plan boasts two slide-outs directly opposite each other, which greatly opens up the living area. The slides feature theater seating on one side of the trailer and a U-shaped dinette on the other. Both are surrounded by windows, as is the rear kitchen.

A countertop wraps around the galley with plenty of food preparation area. The windows on all sides provide light, ventilation, and views of the scenery outdoors. Two shelved pantries and several drawers offer storage in lieu of overhead cabinets, contributing to the open feel of the kitchen. A microwave, range, 12-volt fridge, spice rack, and a magnetic knife holder round out the features.

Clever Passthroughs

The front of the Springdale 281RK houses a master suite with a queen bed. Dual storage shelves are mounted above the head of the bed. They’re flanked by upper wardrobes on either side. Underneath one of the wardrobes is a laundry chute with a hinged lid and passthrough access to the outside of the trailer for laundry day.

The bedroom is separated from the living area by a full-width, walk-through bath. One side has the 30- by 40-inch (762- by 1,016-millimeter) shower with a skylight that adds extra headroom along with natural light. A linen cabinet can be accessed from both the bath and the bedroom. The large bathroom also acts as a privacy buffer between the bathroom and master suite, Keystone says.

Additional Features

Keystone equips the 281RK with USB charging ports, each of which has a storage net nearby. The travel trailer comes with a SolarFlex 200 solar power system and 100-Ah Dragonfly lithium-ion batteries as standard features.
