Keystone RV’s New Passport GT 2700RL Travel Trailer Gets Super Slide, Cross-Hall Bath

Keystone RV’s new 2700RL floor plan for its Passport GT premium travel trailer moves the living room to the rear and makes the bathroom a transitional space to the master suite in the front. Excellent storage space, vaulted 6.75-foot (2.06-meter) ceilings, an upgraded 15,000-BTU air conditioner, and a large 10-cubic-foot (283-liter) refrigerator are among the new trailer’s crowd-pleasing charms. The lightweight, 6,425-pound (2,914-kilogram) camper sleeps five.

Leak-Resistant, Reliable Slide-Out

The Passport GT series comes with aluminum wheels, four-wheel electric brakes, an outside hot and cold shower, and a fiberglass front cap with automotive-grade paint. Power stabilizer jacks come standard, as do a power awning and a power tongue jack. Keystone creates a custom frame for every floor plan rather than taking a one-size-fits-most approach. The 2700RL model places 760 lbs (345 kg) of weight on the tow vehicle’s hitch.

Inside the coach are Armstrong vinyl flooring and LED lighting throughout. The rear living room boasts upgraded leather furniture, namely a tri-fold sofa and theatre seating, the latter of which slide out on a BAL Accuslide cable system. The Tru-fit super slide is designed with double weather seals and minimal stress on the motor.

On the opposite end of the trailer is the master bedroom, which has a queen bed and a TV hookup. Reading lamps, bedside outlets, and USB charging ports are some of the amenities to be found, along with motion-sensing lighting in the exterior pass-throughs for laundry.

Kitchen & Bath

In the kitchen of this Passport GT model is a three-burner, high-output range and a glass-top stove as well as a carousel microwave. The countertops are seamless under the Arctic Teak woodgrain cabinetry.

The new 2700RL has a Girard tankless water heater that can draw from the camper's large, 43-gallon (163-L) fresh water tank, or from an external water source for practically "endless" hot water. The 30,000-BTU furnace, a heated and enclosed underbelly, and an extended season camping package makes the Passport GT livable year-round in milder areas.

The cross-hall bathroom separating the master suite from the rest of the living space has residential-style countertops and a foot-flush toilet. The shower has a skylight above it for convenience and safety.

Electronics

Speaking of light, a standard feature on the Passport GT 2700RL is a mobile app-controllable SolarFlex 200 solar charging system for the 12-volt batteries. Upgrades such as the more powerful SolarFlex 400i and dual 100-amp-hour Dragonfly lithium batteries are available from the factory as options.

Keystone sells the Passport GT 2700RL prepped for Wi-Fi and data service connectivity. A standard KeyTV multisource signal controller provides RVers with a single control unit for broadcast, cable, and satellite TV channels. The manufacture color-codes the 12V wiring throughout the camper for easier upgrading and troubleshooting.
