Keystone recently announced details concerning its 2023 lineup of fifth-wheel RVs, including for the luxury 338GK (grand kitchen) model from its Avalanche series. The kitchen in question boasts an updated stovetop and range, as well as an L-shaped, bar-type countertop with two bar stools and enough space for multiple people to gather around. The fifth wheel also comes with two televisions in the living area, which Keystone says is a new feature for the market.
Step Into The Kitchen
Ten models comprise the Avalanche lineup, including the new 338GK, the popular 378BH (bunkhouse) that sleeps nine, and the 390DS (double suite) that sleeps eight. Avalanche fifth wheels are known for their wide-body designs, high ceilings, frameless panoramic windows, and a host of creature comforts. The 37.92-foot (11.5-meter) 338GK comes with a residential microwave, an 18-cubic-foot (509-liter) gas/electric refrigerator, a pantry cupboard, LG solid-surface countertops, dual extra-deep stainless-steel sink bowls, and a legless dinette table in its kitchen. Step outside and there’s an exterior “grill-n-chill” kitchen that’s perfect for tailgating.
The rest of the 338GK isn’t too shabby, either. The master bedroom includes a king-size bed with quilted bedspread and nail-head decorative headboard, plus a large closet, dual LED overhead reading lights, a television hookup, stackable washer and dryer prep, and even its own entrance. Other highlights throughout the RV include a fireplace with integrated entertainment center, theater seating, a translucent glass shower with skylight, a SolarFlex 200 solar package, and either Keystone’s Easton or Stanton interior décor.
The 338GK Inspected
The 338GK is 8.3-ft (2.5-m) wide and 13.2-ft (4-m) high and has a carrying capacity of 2,692 pounds (1,221 kilograms). It’s built on a drop-frame chassis and has a Road Armor suspension with 360-degree vibration control. The exterior includes high-gloss sidewalls, access to large insulated baggage doors, Summit Slides with oversized windows, and 11- and 16-foot (3.4- and 4.9-m) awnings. Fresh-, gray-, and waste-water capacities are 66, 83, and 49 gallons (250, 314, and 185 liters), respectively.
