    About Winnebago

One of the most recognizable brand names in the RV industry, Winnebago is a top manufacturer of Class A, Class B, and Class C motorhomes and a strong line of travel trailers. Winnebago is a wholly owned subsidiary of Winnebago Industries, which includes travel and outdoor recreation products from Grand Design, Chris-Craft, Newmar, and Barletta.

    Pioneering The RV Industry

Beginning in 1958, John K. Hanson relocated Modernistic Industries and 17 employees to Forest City, Iowa, to start a travel trailer factory. It wasn’t until 1961 that the name changed to Winnebago Industries, and business began to boom. The late 1960s brought self-contained motorhomes to the market, featuring the Chieftain with a standard hot water system and built-in vacuums.

Despite economic challenges in the 1970s, Winnebago became the first RV manufacturer to reach production of its 100,000th motorhome, solidifying its dominance in the recreational vehicle industry with multiple options and a range of price points.

Winnebago’s popularity continued into the 1990s and 2000s when it entered the Class B market by introducing RVs built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The 2010s and 2020s were remarkable decades for Winnebago, as the company reentered the towable trailer market and produced its 500,000th motorhome in 2022.

    Winnebago Style

Each Winnebago RV has distinguishable features ranging from functionality to luxury.

    Class A Motorhomes

Winnebago Class A models range in length from 28.4 to 41.7 feet (8.65 to 12.7 meters) and feature long wheelbases and large engines.

The Adventurer and Vista gas motorhomes feature ample room with seamless integration of the cab and living spaces to entertain family and friends. The Adventurer also includes the Driver Confidence Package, with nine advanced technologies like intelligent adaptive cruise control, distance alert and indication, pre-collision assist, electronic stability control, and more.

    Class B Motorhomes

Winnebago camper vans offer a car-like driving experience and fully equipped galleys, comfortable seating, and a pop-up top sleeping area. Built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, the Revel model’s all-wheel drive (AWD) allows for confident off-road performance and features a molded water tank that holds 35 gallons (132.5 liters) of water, giving owners the option to extend their stay.

    Class C Motorhomes

Class C motorhomes balance the compact size of camper vans and the luxury of Class A motorhomes. All Winnebago Class C models include a powered patio awning with LED lighting for nighttime gatherings. The flexible Minnie Winnie allows families to select a floor plan with different sleeping options for all family sizes.

    Travel Trailers

Winnebago’s large selection of travel trailers range in length from 15.9 to 38.9 ft (4.8 to 11.8 m) and can haul gear to any destination. The Micro Minnie travel trailer comes standard with a 3-burner cooktop and a large refrigerator despite its svelte 7-foot width. Winnebago travel trailers come in all sizes and price ranges to suit any need or desire.

    Enhanced Accessibility

Winnebago has been designing and producing wheelchair-accessible motorhomes for decades, including the Inspire Class A motorhome and the Roam camper van. Unique features like a remote-controlled lift platform, built-in tie-downs, and roll-in showers allow wheelchair users to travel easily in an RV.
