All About Heartland RV
Heartland RV was officially founded in 2003 and released its first fifth-wheel camper, the Landmark, the following year. By 2010, the company had more than 1,100 employees; today, it has more than 3,000. Its manufacturing footprint has also grown over the years, going from roughly 111,000 square feet in 2006 up to a total plant space of 780,000 square feet today. Heartland has enough manufacturing capacity to produce around 20,000 RVs per year. The company acquired various trademarks and assets from Fleetwood Enterprises in February 2010 to grow its portfolio, and then a few months later, in the same year, Thor Industries acquired Heartland.
Customer Focus
All RV companies care about their customers, but Heartland goes the extra mile to make customers the central focus of everything it does. The company regularly gathers feedback from customers, and says that management gets that information on a weekly basis for use in making decisions. Its in-house service center, which opened in 2015, has hookup sites near its service bays to make sure customers have access to full amenities prior to service.
Heartland Models
Heartland RV specializes in travel trailers, toy haulers, and fifth wheels. Some of the company’s most popular models include the Bighorn, North Trail, Prowler, Torque, Trail Runner, and Wilderness, just to name a few. You’ll find all of these and more among the hundreds of new and used Heartland RVs for sale on RVUniverse.com, usually ranging in price from less than $5,000 to just over $100,000.
