Details: 2027 Opus OP4 Off-Road Camper, Stock 1462, Orange This one is loaded, and the two options that matter most in Texas are both on it: air conditioning and a propane heater. That combination is not standard on an OP4, and it changes the trailer from a three-season toy into something you can actually use in August at Ray Roberts or in January in the Davis Mountains. The reason people buy an Opus is the tent, and once you watch it go up you understand. There are no poles. Nine individually sealed air beams inflate from an onboard pump at the push of a button. You unfold the two lids, hit the switch, and the whole camper is standing in about two minutes. Each beam is isolated, so a puncture in one does not bring the structure down. Owners have ridden out serious Texas thunderstorms in these while the tents around them folded. Underneath the canvas this is real hardware, not a pop-up with knobby tires bolted on. The shell is Aluminium Dibond, two aluminium skins bonded around a polyethylene core with a 20mm insulation layer between them. The floor is 10-ply waterproofed sheeting sealed under industrial vinyl. The frame is cast and welded aluminium, powder coated. The lids clamp down onto finned rubber seals, so nothing gets in when it is closed. Independent trailing arm coil suspension with dual shocks, 265/75R15 all-terrain tires, single axle. Washboard, ruts, and river crossings that shake a conventional pop-up apart do not bother this thing. At 3,100 pounds dry with a 400 pound hitch weight and 7 feet 2 inches wide, it tows easily behind a Tacoma, a Gladiator, a 4Runner, a Bronco, or any half-ton, and it follows you down two-track without you sweating the mirrors. Camp setup is fast because everything lives outside where you use it. The kitchen slides out with a four-burner stainless cooktop, wind guards, chopping board, prep deck, folding dish rack, pantry access, and LED lights overhead. The ICECO 12V fridge and freezer slides out on its own rail. Forty gallons of onboard water plus the rack-mounted hot water shower and enclosure means you can actually get clean out there. Two hundred amp hours of LiFePO4 lithium runs the fridge, the lights, and the fans without a generator. Inside, the U-shaped lounge seats the group and converts to another berth. Two double tent ends handle the rest, and the front bed takes a king extension. This unit also came through with the rooftop fold-over cargo rack for gear you do not want inside, an ARK XO750 tongue jack, and the Enduro remote trailer mover, which lets you drive the camper into a tight campsite from a handheld remote instead of doing fifteen-point turns with your truck. That last one has to be seen to be believed and it is not a cheap add. Be clear on what this is. The OP4 is not a hard-side trailer, and the toilet is a Porta Potti in a privacy tent rather than a walled bathroom. That is the trade for a rig that weighs 3,100 pounds and goes where hard-sides cannot. If you want a bathroom door, this is the wrong trailer and we will tell you so. If you want to sleep in Big Bend, Ouachita, Palo Duro, or Moab with real beds, a real kitchen, A/C when it is hot, and heat when it is not, there is nothing in this weight class that competes.
