Airstream recently announced its 2026 lineup of travel trailers, which offer enhanced functionality, technology improvements, and a new model. According to the company, every Airstream travel trailer has been updated. For example, all ducted units except Bambi and Basecamp have new air conditioning vents that close individually, giving you more granular control over air flow and improving comfort. The 25FB and 27FB floor plans of the Globetrotter, International, Flying Cloud, and Trade Wind travel trailers have new bathroom windows to bring in more natural light.
New Limited-Edition Travel Trailer
The Airstream Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian Limited Edition Travel Trailer pairs Airstream’s iconic rounded, riveted aluminum shell with an interior inspired by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The 28-foot (8.5-meter) floor plan has convertible living spaces, a rear hatch that opens to the natural world, 29 windows, an earth-tone color palette, Gordon Leaf Pattern accents, and many more unique features. Only 200 of these trailers will be produced over the next two years.
X-Package Now Standard On Basecamp
Basecamp’s X-Package, previously an optional upgrade, is now standard on the 2026 Basecamp 16X and Basecamp 20X travel trailers. The package includes Goodyear all-terrain tires, aluminum wheels, a 3-inch lift kit, and a raised hitch jack foot pad for better ground clearance. Stainless steel rock guards and a solar window guard protect the trailer on rough terrain.
Other Notable Upgrades
- Improved visibility - Airstream’s Bambi, Caravel, Flying Cloud, International, Trade Wind, Globetrotter, and Classic travel trailer models have new, improved backup cameras for better visibility while backing up or parking.
- More power - The Flying Cloud, International, Globetrotter, and Classic 50A service dual A/C floor plans have a new 80A converter that adds 20 more amps of power compared to previous models. This allows simultaneous charging and use of 12-volt appliances while hooked to shore power.
- New sofa-bed - The Classic 28RB and 30RB floor plans have a new sofa with a dual motor and a true lay-flat bed configuration.
- Weight increase - The GVMR on the Trade Wind’s 23FB floor plan increased by 200 pounds (90.7 kilograms) to a total of 6,500 lbs (2,948 kg) for 2026.
Retired Models
The 2026 model year will also mark the end of production for the Basecamp REI Co-Op Special Edition and Pottery Barn Travel Trailers, as well as the Flying Cloud 30FB Office floor plan. The models will still be available for purchase at some dealerships while supplies last.
