New Keystone Cougar 260MLE Fifth Wheel Packs Plentiful Storage Into Small Footprint

That roar coming from campgrounds this spring is the Cougar 260MLE, a new premium fifth wheel for 2024 from Keystone RV Company. Despite its sub-31-foot (9.4-meter) length, the 260MLE provides ample storage and counter space, clever innovations, and compelling options. Exterior design options include a fetching Midnight Edition exterior with Black Onyx or Phantom Gray automotive full-body paint jobs, blackout rims, and other handsome touches.

Intelligent Features

Keystone says the 260MLE is a fit for solo travelers or couples looking to mix work with pleasure. A novel feature that hits the work-pleasure sweet spot is a space-saving, pull-out tabletop that stows away above the fireplace/entertainment center in the wraparound kitchen and entertainment area. Although Keystone eliminates a fixed dinette in favor of the tabletop, it provides two upholstered wood folding chairs to use at the tabletop and then store in the entertainment center when finished.

Above the Keystone Cougar 260MLE’s entertainment center is a pull-out 50-inch HDTV that neatly drops down for a lower viewing position. Across the way is a tri-fold sleeper sofa that sleeps two adults, but customers can upgrade to heated massage theater seats. Keystone also includes a dual pull-out trash can, plus 72-in. (183-centimeter) rectangular windows for great views of your campsite.

Keep Your Valuables Safe

Omitting a fixed dinette gives the kitchen/entertainment area an incredibly spacious feel and creates space to include everything you’ll need for prepping and cooking meals. That includes a nifty coffee station, a full-depth pantry, eight overhead cabinets, a dent-resistant refrigerator, a microwave, and a Furrion range with a glass stovetop cover. There’s also an external griddle and refrigerator for times you want to flip pancakes or burgers outdoors.

At the day’s end, you can use the bathroom in the trailer’s middle section to shower before retreating to the bedroom at the trailer’s front end. Keystone includes a queen bed, but a king bed is an option. Like the kitchen and entertainment area, the bedroom is long on storage space thanks to under-bed storage, a full-height wardrobe closet (prepped for a washer and dryer), and a sliding dresser top that reveals a hidden space for storing your valuables.
