Meet Ember RV’s Newest Touring Edition Travel Trailers With Murphy Bed, Storage Locker & Slide

Ember RV recently disclosed details about a versatile pair of luxury travel trailer models in its Touring Edition family. The 31.75-foot (9.7-meter) Touring Edition 24MSL and the 34.1-ft (10.4-m) 28MSL are both tandem-axle models with a queen-size Murphy bed, Ember’s popular Stargazer dual-pane acrylic skylight, a central slide-out, and a storage locker in the rear.

Comforts Of Home

Both the Touring Edition 24MSL and 28MSL floor plans have 55 gallons (208 liters) of freshwater capacity and 40 pounds (18 kilograms) of propane or LP gas capacity. Their 74- by 45-inch (188- by 114-centimeter) cargo locker under the rear single or double bunk space has the EmberTrack E-Track configurable storage system, which you can adjust to your needs.

Up front, Ember’s Flex-Suite provides a mobile office space by day and a nicely appointed bedroom by night. A stowaway bed, two removable tables, and a jackknife sofa can turn the private bedroom into office space or extra room as needed.

The 24MSL and 28MSL have European-style, dual-pane acrylic windows with built-in shades. Their 1-piece PVC roof has a lifetime warranty. Laminated Azdel Onboard walls and Ember’s Evermore composite flooring aspire to be equally trouble-free.

Ember builds Touring Edition units with a 5-sided aluminum frame and a drop-frame, high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) chassis. Its Dexter torsion axles are fitted with self-adjusting electric brakes. A standard tire pressure management system regulates the trailers’ 16-in. (406-mm) Goodyear Endurance Load Range E tires.

24MSL & 28MSL Specifications

The 31.75-ft 24MSL model Touring Edition has an overall height of 11.5 ft (3.5 m), a dry weight rating of 7,050 lbs (3,198 kg), and a hitch weight of 860 lbs (390 kg). The camper has sleeping accommodations for five to eight individuals and a 21-ft (6.4-m) awning.

Ember’s Touring Edition 28MSL shares the 24MSL’s height but adds a few feet of extra living room space for a 34.1-ft total length. It has a 19-ft (5.8-m) awning and can sleep six to 10 people with the addition of a tri-fold, hide-a-bed sofa. The model’s legless dinette can be paired with an optional free-standing table and chairs. The 28MSL’s weight ratings were still pending as of this writing in late April 2024.

The feature and package option lists for both trailers are quite extensive, but it’s noteworthy that there’s an optional Off-Grid Solar Package with 400 watts’ worth of solar panels, a 2,000-watt pure sine wave inverter, and a Victron MPPT solar controller. Users can manage the solar package using the Emberlink smart RV control system.

2024 Touring Edition Upgrades

Ember’s luxury Touring Edition family features couple’s coaches as well as bunkhouse layouts with 12 floor plans ranging from approximately 26 to 36 ft (8 to 11 m) in length. For 2024, Ember Touring Edition trailers come with the CUB Lane Change Assist system to help the tow vehicle driver make safer lane changes.

Other updates include preparations for StarLink satellite connectivity and protective slide toppers. The front hitch area has LED lighting for hitching and unhitching in low-light conditions, plus a standard aluminum front storage box.
