Thor Talavera Offers Off-Grid Camping In Comfort

Thor Motor Coach’s 2024 Talavera camper van is designed for going off the grid. Built on a Transit Trail chassis with all-wheel drive, a 3.5-inch (89-millimeter) lift kit, blacked-out wheels, and off-road tires, the Talavera can tackle remote landscapes. A Lot Of Amenities In A Small Space

Class B motorhomes, or “camper vans” as they are more often called, are popular for their small, manageable size, but often lack the features of larger, roomier RVs. Not so with the Talavera. Available in two floor plan options that accommodate two people, the Talavera camper van packs a lot of amenities in a small space. The Talavera 1910 has a sleeper sofa and swivel table. The 1920 has a fold-up rear sleeping area with a 51- by 74-in. (129.5- by 188-centimeter) bed and a removable table.

The kitchen has a single-door refrigerator, a single-burner induction cooktop, a microwave, a stainless steel sink with a cover, and solid-surface countertops. The bathroom includes a cassette toilet and a shower with a curtain. The 1910 has a 22-in. TV in the living area while the 1920 has a 24-in. TV in the bedroom. Both floor plans have an electronics station with HDMI cable and USB charging ports and are cable TV- and satellite-ready.

Outdoors, the Talavera offers a Thule lateral arm power patio awning with integrated LED lighting, a fold-out exterior table, and an optional rear-door bike rack.

Plenty Of Power

The electrical system has four 1,260 kWh lithium batteries, a 3,000-watt pure sine inverter, and a 170-amp charging alternator with an auto engine start module. The 200-watt solar charging system keeps the house batteries running and the 12-volt exterior solar connection enables extended travel.
