Thor Motor Coach Introduces Easy-Handling Inception 34XG Super C Motorhome

Thor Motor Coach recently displayed more than 100 Class A, Class B, toy hauler, and other recreational vehicles at the 2024 Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa. Among them was its new 35.5-foot (10.8-meter) Inception 34XG Super C diesel motorhome.

Inception RVs are available in four floor plans and with four exterior design schemes. The 34XG on display at the show had Thor’s Intergalactic exterior design and the new, optional Stealth Package, which adds blacked-out wheels and grille as well as other trim. Other exterior styles include Mirage, Rollin’ Stone, and Sangria.

Meet The Updated Thor Inception

Thor’s Inception RVs sleep from four to six people (the 34XG has a 4-person sleep capacity), range from 35.5 to 39.8 ft (12.1 m) in length, and are 13.3 ft (4.1 m) high. The Class Super C motorhomes feature external storage ranging from 132 to 180 cubic feet (3,738 to 5,097 liters).

Thor Motor Coach builds the Inception on a Freightliner S2RV chassis powered by a 6.7-L Cummins ISB-XT engine rated for 360 horsepower (268 kilowatts) and 800 pounds-foot (1,085 newton-meters) of torque. The RV has a 15,000-pound (6,803-kilogram) hitch rating, sufficient for pulling a car, horse trailer, and “everything in between,” says Thor Motor Coach.

Step Inside The 34XG

Thor Motor Coach says the Inception is perfect for those new to the RV world, and the 34XG is ideal for those seeking a compact motorhome that’s easy to handle but doesn’t skimp on luxury. One such feature is the Tilt-A-View inclining king bed at the vehicle’s rear end that sprawls 72 inches wide by 80 in. long (183 by 203 centimeters). The opposite end has a cabover bunk that’s slightly less wide but is equally long.

The 34XG’s middle section has you covered for relaxation and entertainment. Its Leatherette power reclining home theater seats have footrests, charging ports, and stainless steel cup holders; they sit directly across from a 39-in. smart TV above the Leatherette Dream Dinette booth with seating for four.

Exterior Features

There’s a lot to appreciate about the 34XG’s exterior as well. For example, the 40-in. HDTV with a sound bar with Bluetooth connectivity is perfect for watching games and movies outdoors. There’s also a 16-ft (4.9-m) power awning with LED lighting to catch some shade, and a side-view camera system and backup monitor to make pulling in and out of campgrounds easier.
