Keystone RV Introduces Extra-Long Arcadia Super Lite 294SLRD Fifth Wheel

At the tail end of summer 2023, Keystone RV Company revealed a new pair of floor plans in its Arcadia Super Lite family of fifth-wheel trailers, one of which was the 294SLRD. The manufacturer billed it as a Super-Lite edition of its 2023 RV of the year with a 33.17-foot (10.1-meter) length and a weight of just 8,775 pounds (3,980 kilograms).

The lengthy but lightweight 294SLRD boasts a rear entertainment center, a long 82-inch (2,083-millimeter) sofa sleeper, and a trio of tall Tru-fit power slides that expand the interior space where it counts. The mid-profile fifth wheel also has a U-shaped kitchen and a free-standing dinette, both of which afford an excellent view of the 50-in. smart TV.

Upstairs In The Arcadia Super Lite 294SLRD

The Keystone Arcadia Super Lite 294SLRD has a 12.5-ft (3.81-m) overall height and a 1,495-lb (678-kg) hitch weight. It sleeps up to five, including on the 60- by 80-in. (1,524- by 2,032-mm) queen bed in the forward suite. The slide in this master bedroom moves the wardrobe aside for walking access to both sides of the bed and their nightstands with power outlets and USB charging ports.

The upper level also houses the bathroom with a wide, 48- by 30-in. (1,219- by 762-mm) shower and skylight. The 294SLRD’s tanks can hold up to 54 gallons (204 liters) of fresh water, 60 gal (227 L) of grey water, and 30 gal (114 L) of wastewater. A Girard on-demand tankless water heater provides hot water as needed. Keystone includes preparation for an optional second Blade Pure Coleman Mach Quiet Series air conditioning unit for the bedroom.

Cooking Indoors Or Out With The 294SLRD

On the spacious main floor of the Arcadia Super Lite 294SLRD is the kitchen, laid out for maximum efficiency with counter space on three sides of the chef. The pressed countertops are seamless, and the stainless steel kitchen sink is an undermount style. The range is a 21-in. (533-mm) Furrion model with piezoelectric ignition and a glass stovetop cover.

A few steps away is a pantry and a 10-cubic-foot (283-L) "solar-friendly" fridge with dent-resistant doors, both located in the main slide next to the sofa sleeper. The slide-out also features a Grill-N-Chill outdoor kitchen with a griddle and mini refrigerator under one of two large awnings.

The 294SLRD’s Technology & Power Systems

Opposite the pantry are two theater-style seats directly facing the smart TV. The screen is surrounded by an entertainment center with storage and an electric fireplace with a remote. The 294SLRD fifth wheel includes prep for Wi-Fi and 4G LTE connectivity.

During the day, a standard SolarFlex Protect 220 solar power system stores supplemental energy. Keystone offers an optional Discover 440i system and Dragonfly Energy lithium-ion batteries for even more renewable power capacity.
