Thor Motor Coach recently unveiled its 2024 Chateau Class C RV with new exterior graphics, keyless entry, and a spacious interior built on Ford’s E-Series chassis. The RV offers plenty of amenities inside and out as well as optional equipment to customize your travel experience.
About The Chateau
The Chateau 26X is powered by a 7.3-liter V8 engine with 325 horsepower (242 kilowatts) and is equipped with an 8,000-pound (3,629-kilogram) trailer hitch. The large living area comes with the Mega-Storage compartment with a queen-size Murphy bed in the rear and floor tie-downs and an oversized rear access door. Additional sleeping space is available on the tri-fold pullout sleeper sofa. There is also a cab-over bunk sleeping area that’s ideal for kids and can be outfitted with an optional child safety net.
The bathroom has a shower with a glass door and a skylight, a foot-flush toilet, and a stainless steel bathroom sink. The fully furnished kitchen has a 12-volt refrigerator with auto generator start, a recessed 3-burner gas cooktop and oven with a glass cover and a range hood, a microwave, a sink with a pulldown sprayer and stainless steel sink cover, and a flip-up countertop extension.
For entertainment, the Chateau has a 39-inch smart TV on a manual swivel in the cab-over area and an optional exterior 32-in. TV on a swivel bracket with a Bluetooth built-in sound bar and radio. There is also a satellite mounting bracket on the roof. RV owners can also opt for an exterior pullout kitchen with an LP griddle and 12-volt cooler. For travelers who wish to reduce power drain and help the environment, there is an option of adding a 100-watt solar panel.
