KZ Recreational Vehicles Unveils Limited-Edition Robby Gordon Speed UTV Venom V-Series Toy Hauler
Have a taste for extreme adventures? Then check out the “beefed-up” limited-edition Robby Gordon Speed UTV Venom V-Series toy hauler that KZ Recreational Vehicles recently debuted at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. KZ, a Thor Industries company, created the camper in collaboration with race car driver Robby Gordon and Todd Romano, co-founders of Speed UTV, a brand of high-performance, off-road utility vehicles. Gordon says the RV is the perfect choice for off-road professionals and hobbyists alike. In addition to Gordon-designed exterior graphics, the camper has special features like an exclusive Robby Gordon interior and a reinforced frame and cargo area with a class-leading 5,550-pound (2,517-kilogram) carrying capacity.
Two Floor Plans
KZ says the new limited-edition toy hauler adds “extra Robby Gordon Speed UTV flair.” The RV is available in two floor plans, both with an interior height of 102 inches (259 centimeters) and a width of 101 in. (256.5 cm). The 42.8-foot-long (13-meter) 3815RG sleeps eight, has a 13,420-lb (6,087-kg) unloaded vehicle weight (UVW), and a 15-ft (4.6-m) garage. The 43.7-ft (13.3-m) 3916RG also sleeps eight but has a 13,400-lb (6,078-kg) UVW and a 16-ft (4.9-m) garage.
The garage features oversized 34-in. (86-cm) diamond kick plate-lined walls and can function as a garage, bedroom, and dining area. Overhead storage compartments are included to stow gear out of the way, and available options include a three-season patio door and patio rails for the Zero G ramp door. Customers can also add a collapsible power bed that has sit and sleep rises built in.
Key Features
There’s a lot to like about the new toy hauler, but a few things in particular stand out, including a high-performance Air-Ride pin box and Equa-Flex suspension system. Other structural features include exterior sidewalls constructed of life-extending Lamilux 4000 high-gloss fiberglass and a 6-point auto-leveling system with multi-point access and hitch-point memory. Elsewhere, a frame-mounted industrial D-ring and multi-point E-Track system makes it easy to secure your utility vehicle and gear for transport, and when it’s time to rest, there’s heat and massage power recline theater seating to sink into.
The toy hauler has dual 30-gallon (113.5-liter) refilling stations, enabling you to select the ideal fuel combination for you. You can choose to install an optional Boondocker Solar System that has eight 220-watt panels, two 220AH 24-volt lithium-ion batteries, and a 5,000-V inverter. An optional roof-mounted Off The Grid solar package includes two 220-W solar panels, a 30-amp maximum power point tracking (MPPT) solar charge controller with MPPT remote panel, and a 2,000-W pure sine wave inverter. As a backup for either solar system, customers can add an optional whole-coach Onan generator.
