Jayco Announces 4 New Solar Packages For Towable RVs

Jayco recently announced four new Overlander solar package options for their towable RVs. Solar power provides RVers with more camping options, less reliance on hookups from campgrounds, and less need to fuel appliances with gas. The four packages provide varying levels of solar power to meet a variety of needs and budgets.

Overlander 1

Jayco’s entry-level solar package, Overlander 1 provides a factory-direct 200-watt solar panel installation and a 30-amp Digital PWM Solar Controller to ensure the power flow doesn’t overwhelm your RV’s system. Overlander 1 is available on Jay Flight, Jay Feather, and White Hawk RVs.

Overlander 2

The Overlander 2 package offers two 200-W solar panels, a 30-A MPPT RV-C Solar Controller, and an 1800-W RC-C Inverter to generate enough power to run small amenities on the RV through solar energy. Overlander 2 is available on Jay Feather, White Hawk, Eagle, North Point, Pinnacle, Seismic, and Seismic Luxury Series RVs.

Overlander 4

The Overlander 4 package comes with four 200-W solar panels, two 100-AH Lithium self-heated batteries, a 60-A MPPT Solar Controller, a 3,000-W split phase inverter charger, a DC/DC power converter, a soft start power saver bedroom and living room 15K AC with heat pump, a battery monitor, an energy management system, and a roof pre-wired for additional solar panels. The DC to DC power converter ensures the RV will have a charge when it arrives at its destination without the batteries overheating. The batteries can also charge while hooked up and owners can manage and regulate the energy going into the batteries and can add a generator to be even more self-sustaining (generator option not available on travel trailers). The Overlander 4 is available Eagle, North Point, Pinnacle, Seismic, and Seismic Luxury Series Jayco products.

Overlander EXT

Jayco’s ultimate off-the-grid solar offering, the Overlander EXT, is available on North Point, Pinnacle, Seismic Luxury Series RVs. The package comes with six 200-W solar panels and six 100-AH Lithium self-heated batteries to ensure a proper charge in any climate. Other features include a 100-A MPPT Solar Controller, a 3,000-W split phase inverter charger, a DC to DC power charger, a battery monitor, and an energy management system and can be paired with a generator. The Overlander EXT also has a soft start power saver AC in the living room and a 12-volt 13.5K bedroom AC for protection against power surges draining the batteries.
