Keystone Introduces New Cougar 320RDS & Half-Ton 29BHL Fifth Wheels For 2023

Keystone has unveiled details about its new Cougar 320RDS and Cougar Half-Ton 29BHL floor plans for 2023. The Cougar lineup, which comprises half-ton fifth wheel, half-ton travel trailer, and premium fifth wheel models, celebrates its 25th anniversary next year. The 320RDS premium fifth wheel is designed for extended-stay RVers, and includes a rear den with an expansive L-shaped seating section formed by a king-size tri-fold sleeper/sofa and two theater recliners. The 29BHL half-ton fifth wheel includes a private bunk room that boasts a full-size lower bunk that’s convertible to a small office space with an all-new fold-out desk.

Happy Anniversary, Cougar

In addition to being the best-selling mid-profile fifth wheel ever, Keystone says the Cougar offers customers the market’s most innovative floor plans and residential amenities, plus best-in-class storage. To mark the anniversary, Cougars for 2023 have an updated exterior with a new front cap and new graphics. The interior features the Amy Gray Signature design that Keystone introduced last year, with light-colored cabinets and darker accents.

The Cougar 320RDS

Stretching 36.4 feet (11 meters) long and weighing 10,685 pounds (4,847 kilograms), the 320RDS sleeps up to six. The aforementioned rear den provides generous views of the campsite through its oversized windows and includes an electric fireplace and motorized stowage for the television when not in use. The kitchen has barstool seats, a pantry, a microwave, a 16-cubic-foot (453-liter) refrigerator, and 21-inch (53-centimeter) Furrion range, while the bedroom has a queen-size bed, although a king-size bed is available as an option. You’ll also find a full-height wardrobe closet with sliding mirror doors and a separate closet equipped for a stackable washer and dryer. The exterior is prepped for a rear observation area and includes a shower and electric awning, among other features.

The Cougar Half-Ton 29BHL

Keystone drew inspiration from its 24RDS half-ton fifth wheel and 30BHS bunkhouse half-ton travel trailer to create the 29BHL, which sleeps 10 and is 33.4 ft (10.2 m) long and weighs 8,195 lbs (3,717 kg). Like those models, the 29BHL’s living area offers “the ultimate in versatility,” Keystone says, thanks to a bench ottoman that’s useable as seating at the freestanding dinette table or as a footrest with the living area’s 68-in. (173-cm) tri-fold sleeper sofa. The table can serve as a TV tray or coffee table by the sofa, as kitchen counter space, or for dining outdoors. Bedroom features worth mentioning include a queen-size bed, LED reading lights, and a large shower with a skylight.
