Heartland RV Offers New Solar Packages To Meet Campers' Technology Needs
Heartland RV recently introduced its new line of solar packages, Sol – Powered By The Sun, which are available on all of Heartland’s fifth wheels, travel trailers, and toy haulers. The manufacturer offers four tiers of Sol packages to help RVers reduce energy costs and says that in addition, solar power runs quiet and requires minimal upkeep for years of low-maintenance use that recoups the upfront costs.
Four Packages
Sol – Powered By The Sun is available in the Sol Prepped, Sol 190, Sol 380, and Sol 330 options. Sol Prepped is the baseline package and provides a roof docking port, a 30-amp charge controller, wiring to add up to two 190-watt solar panels, and up to eight prepped outlets. Sol 190 adds one 190-watt monocrystalline solar panel with mounting bracket and an inverter fuse kit. The Sol 380 tier builds on the Sol 190 with the two 190-watt monocrystalline solar panels with mounting brackets, a 2000-watt power inverter, and an external transfer switch. Available on fifth-wheel toy haulers, the Sol 330 package comes with one 330-watt monocrystalline solar panel with brackets, a 2000-watt power inverter, an external transfer switch, and up to eight prepped outlets.
“Sol – Powered By The Sun fits into our larger sustainability goals by offering a complete solar solution for every RV model we create,” says Heartland RV Vice President of Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service, Jim Fenner. “As part of the outdoor travel industry, we feel it’s our responsibility to provide smart, energy-efficient solutions in our RVs to help preserve the natural beauty of the outdoors for generations to come.”
