At 37.2 feet (11.3 meters), the 36 SH floor plan is the shortest of Tiffin’s diverse 2022 Phaeton motorhome lineup, which ranges up to 45 ft (13.7 m) in length. For 2022, Tiffin adds a slide-tray basement grill option on the 40 IH and 44 OH floor plans to provide travelers with a convenient outdoor cooking option. Models built on the Freightliner XCM chassis now feature three-stage compression brakes, while Phaetons built on the PowerGlide chassis come equipped with two-stage compression brakes.

Elegant Interior Options

The plush interior of the Phaeton is highlighted by Ultraleather furniture and porcelain tile floors, and comes with a wide selection of interior décor options to let buyers dial in their personal style. Available packages provide a cohesive look across the countertops, living room, master suite, and window treatments. To optimize entertainment, Tiffin includes a sound bar with subwoofer, a Blu-ray player, and a flat-panel TV in the bedroom. The panoramic galley window in the kitchen provides a great outside view, and the living/dinette area delivers a wide variety of comfortable seating arrangements for relaxing.

A Safe, Comfortable Ride

2022 Phaeton motorhomes are built on either a Freightliner XCM chassis or Tiffin’s advanced PowerGlide chassis to provide a ride to match the interior comforts. Both the 44 OH and 40 IH also feature an independent front suspension. Tiffin pairs the Phaeton chassis with a Cummins L9 engine; most models come equipped with a 380-horsepower (280-kilowatt) power plant that generates 1,150 pounds-foot (1,559 newton-meters) of torque. The 44 OH Phaeton has a 450-HP (335-kW) Cummins engine, which is also an option for the 40 IH model. A host of driver assistant technologies, including collision mitigation and active braking, are on board to reduce the chance of accidents.
