Fleetwood RV Flair Motorhome Gets New Chassis & Electronic Instrument Panel For 2022

Fleetwood RV recently announced some significant updates to its Flair Class A gas motorhome for 2022, including additional cabinet options, a smoother-riding new Ford chassis, and an all-new electronic instrument panel that simplifies navigation. There’s also an exterior kitchen option for two of the Flair’s five available floor plans.

Under The Hood

The Flair’s new Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis carries more weight than the previous one and provides larger pass-through storage (70 cubic feet, or 2 cubic meters). The RV’s 350-horsepower (260-kilowatt) Ford 7.3-liter Triton V8 delivers 468 pounds-foot (634.5 newton-meters) of torque and is mated to a six-speed Ford TorqShift automatic transmission with overdrive and Tow/Haul Mode. Hauling a boat or motorcycle is no problem thanks to the Flair’s 8,000-pound (3,629-kilogram) towing capacity.

Travel With Flair

Flair models range in length from 28 to 35 feet (8.5 to 10.7 meters). All floor plans come with standard inclusions such as a jackknife sofa, a booth dinette, and a powered Hide-A-Loft drop-down bed over the driver and passenger seats. Other standard features include side mirror-mounted cameras that make driving safer and easier, and LED TVs in the living area, bedroom, and exterior that let everyone enjoy the entertainment options they like best.

The Flair’s 35R floor plan includes 68-inch (172.7-centimeter) theater seating and a 68-in. driver-side sofa sleeper. The 29M and 34J configurations include an option for an exterior kitchen. All configurations include a stainless-steel residential fridge, a three-burner range with oven, and an over-the-range microwave in the kitchen. In the bathroom, you’ll find stainless-steel sinks and a shower with a glass door and a skylight. The Flair’s bedroom comes standard with a large, comfy Serenity Series king-size mattress. Travelers can control the climate throughout the interior using the IllumaPlex Control System through an app on their phones.
