Fleetwood RV Adds 36GL Floor Plan To Southwind Class A Gas Motorhome Lineup

The Southwind is Fleetwood RV’s longest Class A gas motorhome for 2022 and is built on the exclusive Power Platform Ford chassis. The 2022 lineup includes a new floor plan, the 36GL, that sleeps six and offers an open kitchen. The 36GL’s modular living area features an Adap-table multi-purpose workstation and a jackknife sofa. A private master suite with a king-size bed provides a quiet place for RV owners to get some quality rest after a long day.

Designed For Long Trips

The Power Platform chassis includes fully automatic leveling using a four-point hydraulic system. And when loading or unloading, travelers have easy access to items in the exterior pass-through storage. Models like the Southwind 35K include a 5.5-kilowatt Onan generator, and the entire lineup has the option for a 7.0-kW generator. Another Southwind model, the 34C, comes outfitted with a 100-watt solar panel, and Fleetwood offers an upgrade to a 300-watt solar panel on all models. The Southwind is cooled by dual 15,000-BTU air conditioners and heated by dual heat pumps.

Take The Whole Family

All 2022 Southwind floor plans sleep at least six people, and the flagship 37F sleeps up to seven, thanks to seating that converts into bunk beds. The 37F floor plan also features two showers and lavatories, ideal for family travel. Fleetwood equips the Southwind models with a hitch rated at either 5,000 or 8,000 pounds (2,268 or 3,628 kilograms) for towing a vehicle or hauling outdoor gear on a trailer. Most Southwind models also feature an exterior entertainment center, perfect for outdoor movie nights or tailgate parties.
