Fleetwood RV Presents The All-New, Award-Winning Frontier Class A Motorhome For 2022

The all-new Class A diesel Fleetwood RV Frontier motorhome for 2022 is off to a strong start for its REV Group-owned manufacturer. Available in the 34GT floor plan with a single bath and the 36SS floor plan with a bath and a half, the Frontier has won multiple awards from various industry publications as the top debuting RV, the best new model, and the Class A diesel motorhome of the year. The accolades aren’t surprising given all the innovative features the Frontier brings to the table.

The Great Frontier

Fleetwood builds the Frontier on a Freightliner Custom Chassis XCR with a 32,400-pound (14,700-kilogram) gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), a 10,000-lb (4,536-kg) hitch rating, and a 206-inch (5,232-millimeter) wheelbase. Its Cummins 6.7-liter engine is rated for 340 horsepower (254 kilowatts), and the six-speed Allison 2500 transmission features electronic shift control.

The triple slide-out Frontier features a full flat floor design and 7-foot (2.1-meter) soft-touch vinyl ceilings with LED light throughout; it measures 35.4 ft long by 8.5 ft wide by 12.1 ft. high (10.8 by 2.6 by 3.7 m), and includes 135 cubic ft (3.8 cubic meters) of basement storage. Fleetwood uses Vacu-Bond construction to build the Frontier; this involves applying 415,000 pounds of vacuum pressure for 30 minutes to create straight, flat, durable walls.

On the exterior, you’ll find 20-ft (6.1-m) and 4-ft (1.2-m) powered awnings with LED lighting that respectively shade the RV’s patio area and entry door. Frontier buyers can choose among four premium-grade exterior color schemes, three interior décor packages, and four cabinetry designs.

The Frontier carries 100 gallons (378.5 liters) of fuel and has 96-gal (363-L) fresh water, 65-gal (246-L) gray waste water, and 45-gal (170-L) black waste water tanks.

Loaded With Extras

The RV’s lengthy list of notable features include a tankless Aqua-Hot 250D water heater that eliminates the need for onboard propane, a fiberglass shower, a stackable washer and dryer, the patent-pending convertible Adaptable Dinette (with the 36SS floor plan), hand-laid Tarkett vinyl flooring, a Whirlpool stainless-steel residential refrigerator, a two-burner induction cooktop, and a convection microwave. Comfort and entertainment come in the form of a king-sized memory foam mattress, a 10.2-inch touchscreen audio system, bedroom and living-area LED TVs, an exterior entertainment center with an LED TV and a sound bar, and an electric fireplace.

Notable options include a Hide-A-Loft drop-down bed with TV, the KING universal satellite system, a full-bay 90-inch (228.6-centimeter) slide-out tray, a Central Vac system, Mobileye and Safe-T-View safety packages, and Wi-Fi, cell booster, and 300-watt solar panel connectivity packages.
