The all-new Winnebago Solis, which recently debuted at the Florida RV Supershow along with the HIKE RV, is a camper van designed with versatility in mind. The Solis features a fiberglass pop-top that raises on hinges and gas springs to provide a loft sleeping area for two. The camper van also offers all-season capability, thanks in part to a space-expanding rear door design with privacy screen and a heated bathroom that doubles as a drying room for wet gear. “When creating the Solis, we focused on implementing durable and efficient features that pair well with a variety of outdoor recreation activities,” says Winnebago Director of Product Management Russ Garfin. “Features on the Solis allow you to easily explore everything from the beach to the ski slopes and locations in between.”

Flexible Seating & Sleeping

Inside the Solis, the dinette features automotive-grade seating with three-point belts for more secure travel. Travelers selecting the 59P floor plan have the option of a sofa/bed that provides comfortable seating, as well as additional sleeping capacity. The easy to use pop-top features the FROLI Sleep System built to comfortably sleep two, and the option to remove pop-top is also available. In total, the 59P offers sleeping space for up to four adults with a loft above and a Murphy+ bed in the main living area that includes a table on the flipside to create a flexible workspace.

Go Off The Grid

“The Solis was designed for off-the-grid camping with a standard 220-watt solar panel and simplified winterization,” says Garfin. The one panel, 220-watt system is fitted to the top of the pop-top roof—while the pop-top optional model features a 170-watt system. When it comes to water, the Solis offers features like dual exterior wash stations, a cassette toilet, a simplified water panel, the easy-to-read freshwater tank sight glass, and the Eco-Hot water system. And to keep the weather at bay, the Solis features ceiling-to-floor insulation, zipped air barrier window coverings, and interior coach waterlines that help bring the comforts of home.
