Keystone RV Company’s Cougar fifth-wheel campers put a premium on comfort and convenience. Also available as a half-ton fifth wheel or travel trailer, the Cougar range consists of several floor plans designed to meet your needs “in each life stage,” the company explains. Specifications & Features

One way the Cougar delivers convenience is with iN-Command Generation 3 with Global Connect, which allows you to control everything from basic power, slide-outs, and awnings to heating and air conditioning, all from the control panel inside the camper or via a smartphone app. Turn on the lights and set the thermostat at just the right temperature before you walk in for instant comfort. The Cougar also features a Ground Control 3.0 auto-level system with automatic re-hitch memory for quick setup and teardown.

Other features include a 90-degree MaxTurn Technology frame and hitch, Road Armor suspension, MORryde Step Above steps, exterior pass-through storage, a 30-inch (762-millimeter)-wide entry, and a 2-in accessory hitch receiver rated at 300 pounds (136 kilograms). Inside you’ll find a 50-in 4K television in the living room area, Dyna Span seamless floor decking throughout, pillow-top seating, dimmable LED lighting, a four-door refrigerator, Furrion range, 22-in oven, and the KeyTV multisource signal controller that sends cable, satellite, and over-the-air signals to every TV in the RV using one coax cable.

Options Galore

The shipping weight, carrying capacity, hitch rating, length, and height will all vary depending on the model. Cougar fifth wheels having shipping weights of 10,681 to 11,695 lbs (4,844.8 to 5,304.8 kg); carrying capacities of 1,809 to 4,995 lbs (820.5 to 2,265.7 kg); and hitch ratings of 1,765 to 2,455 lbs (800.6 to 1,113.6 kg). Length ranges from 34 feet, 7 in (10.5 meters) to 39 ft, 4 in (12 m) and height ranges from 12 ft, 3 in (3.7 m) to 13 ft, 5 in (4.1 m).

Keystone RV also offers quite a few optional add-ons and features that are only available on select models. For example, some models come with prep for a washer and dryer, a king-size bed, or a 30- by 50-in (762- by 1,270-mm) shower with a seat. Others come with a standard kitchen or kitchen with an island, outdoor kitchen, front living area, or bunkhouse. While all models come standard with 81-gallon (306-liter) fresh water tanks and 76-gal (288-l) gray water tanks, wastewater tank capacities range from 38 to 76 gal (144 to 288 l).
