Airstream Releases Updated Basecamp Models For 2020
Airstream recently announced its new Basecamp model trailers for 2020. Updates include new décor options, a new rear-door latch for easier access, more indoor hooks for storage, improved table conversion, more interior seating configurations, and an optional tent system to add additional camping space.
Updated Interior
Basecamp offers seven bench configurations with easy-to-stow tables and bench storage in the living space. In the kitchen travelers will find panoramic windows with blackout shades, a two-burner gas stove, sink, microwave, refrigerator, and storage for food and dishes. The bathroom has a pass-through for an outdoor shower option, and for comfort in any season, there is an option to add air conditioning. The trailer also features a 26-inch x 46-inch rear hatch for easy loading and unloading.
Premium Tent Option
Owners have a new premium tent option available. The new tent features two rooms with two entry points and attaches to the Basecamp’s curbside for expanded living space. The tent comes with a hand pump to inflate the structural support tubes.
Go Off The Grid
The Basecamp has pre-installed wiring to hook up solar panels to generate additional power. It also comes with 12-volt tank heaters that prevent tanks from freezing when the furnace is off. Tank heaters can be turned off when the furnace is on to save power.
