Thor Motor Coach recently unveiled the 2020 models it is bringing to the Florida RV SuperShow, which takes place at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa from January 15 through 19. The company has several booths at the show, including 510 Midway, 515 Midway, 860 W. Midway, and 865 Midway, where it will have more than 80 RVs on display.
One standout is the 2020 Omni Super C diesel motorhome, which is built on a Ford F-550 chassis and features a 6.7-liter Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V8 engine that produces 330 horsepower (246 kilowatts) and 750 pounds-foot (1,017 newton-meters) of torque. The Omni, which is available in 4x2 and 4x4 versions, has a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds (4,536 kilograms). It also has a GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of 19,500 lbs. (8,845 kg) and a GCWR (gross combination weight rating) of 35,000 lbs. (15,876 kg).
Interior Features
According to Thor, the Omni has “the largest overhead bunk in the market” and features a panoramic skylight with power shade. The Omni’s advanced cockpit features a 7-inch rearview monitor, adjustable pedals, and the Mobileye collision avoidance system for added safety.
There are four floor plans available, including the XG32, SV34, BB35, and BH35, and while they vary in some respects, most of them share the same base features. These include an 84-inch (213-centimeter) ceiling height, residential linoleum throughout, hard veneer paneling, solid-wood flat-panel cabinet doors, LED lighting, and a leatherette Dream Dinette booth.
Other features include a 16-cubic-foot (453-liter) residential refrigerator, a two-burner gas range top, and stainless steel convection microwave in the kitchen; a king or queen-sized bed, shower with skylight, and stainless steel lav bowl in the main bedroom; and several entertainment features, including televisions, Bluetooth radio, and a Winegard ConnecT Wi-Fi Extender with +4G. Color options include Black Diamond, Blue Pearl, Galaxy Black, Platinum Mist, Stargazer, and Waterfall for the interior décor, as well as Amherst and Pacific cabinetry options.
Exterior Features
Thor Motor Coach’s Omni Super C motorhome is available in two full-body paint colors: Madera Canyon and Sahara Slate. Exterior standouts include outdoor storage compartments with flush luggage doors, a one-piece TPO roof, a power patio awning with LED lighting, slide-out room topper awnings, a deadbolt lock on the entry door, and much more. All Omni models come standard with an outside entertainment center, as well, which features a 32-inch television with swivel bracket and sound bar. The SV34 and BB35 floorplans also come standard with an exterior kitchen that features a 2.5-cubic-foot refrigerator and sink for outdoor entertaining.
