Thor Motor Coach To Debut New F42 Venetian Class A Motorhome At Florida RV SuperShow

Ahead of the Florida RV SuperShow running January 15 through 19 in Tampa, Thor Motor Coach previewed its Tellaro Class B van, Omni Super C motorhome, and Venetian Class A motorhomes. Thor plans to display more than 80 of its coaches at the show, and will debut its newest Venetian floor plan, the F42.

The F42

The F42 floor plan ($425,350 and up) measures 42.8 feet (13 meters) long and 12.8 feet (3.9 meters) high externally and 7 feet (2.13 meters) high inside. The F42 includes a 14-foot (4.3-meter) awning and 100-gallon (378.5-liter) fuel, 91-gallon (344.5-liter) fresh water, and 51-gallon (193-liter) waste water tanks. As with the 40.8-foot (12.4-meter) L40 ($385,350), 40.8-foot R40 ($385,350), and 42.8-foot B42 ($410,850) Venetian floor plans, the F42 uses a Freightliner XC-R Atlas Foundation chassis that provides 215 cubic feet (6.1 cubic meters) of external storage, sleeps six to eight, and has a 15,000-pound (6,804-kilogram) hitch weight rating.

Handcrafted and “meticulously designed,” Thor says the Venetians’ features “cater to your every need and satisfy your every whim.” To that end, all floor plans provide a Rapid Camp multiplex wiring system with 7-inch touchscreen and smartphone app control of power, lights, and more. They also include 55-inch and 32-inch HDTVs inside, an external 39-inch LED TV with Bluetooth-compatible sound bar, interior JBL sound bar, and interior Sony Blu-Ray players among numerous other features.

Sleep & Connectivity

While all the Venetians use a Cummins ISL 8.9-liter engine, the L40 and R40’s is rated for 380 horsepower while the B42 and F42’s is rated for 400 horsepower. All floorplans also include a pillowtop king-sized bed with Tilt-A-View inclining mechanism, powered drop-down hide-away bunk bed, and Aqua-Hot 250D hydronic furnace and water heater. All also include as standard the Winegard ConnecT 2.0 system, which combines a 4G LTE router and a Wi-Fi extender to provide secure internet connectivity even when Wi-Fi signals aren’t available, and a 15-inch touchscreen AM/FM dash radio with Bluetooth, Garmin RV GPS Navigation, and Sirius/XM Radio.
