Airstream Introduces New Interior Options For 2020 Classic Travel Trailer Models

As leading travel trailer and touring coach manufacturer Airstream says of its lineup of aluminum-crafted Airstream trailers, they may look similar from the outside, but it’s the interiors that distinguish them. To that end, Airstream has announced new décor options for its luxurious Classic model for 2020, including Comfort White with Earl Grey Ultraleather and Comfort White with Café Latte Ultraleather.

Luxury For Decades

As Airstream says, the “Classic” name dates to 1979, and Airstream has used it since to signify its top-of-the-line units. No matter what model Airstream has attached the “Classic” nameplate to, the company says, “the Classic name has always designated Airstream’s flagship model, denoting “first-class amenities, residential comforts, and a no-expense-spared approach to design.”

The Classic is available in 30- and 33-foot lengths (9.14- and 10.1-meter) in Classic 30RB, 30RB Twin, 33FB, and 33FB Twin floor plans starting at $156,400 (RB) and $179,900 (FB). The Classic provides dedicated cooking, dining, lounging, bathroom, and bedroom spaces. The new 2020 Classic interior options include such features as white-colored Shaker-style cabinet fronts constructed from European hardwood. Also on tap are German-imported brass hardware, contrasting dark-colored Corian countertops, and premium marine-grade-quality woven vinyl floors, as well as a vessel bathroom sink (33FB only), refined angular gooseneck faucets, and a larger kitchen sink.

Smarter Controls

After making Smart Control Technology standard in the Classic in 2018 to enable monitoring and control of various features, Airstream is upgrading the interior control panel for 2020 from a 5-inch touchscreen to a 7-inch panel. Airstream is also providing additional functionality, including a Favorites Screen for easier management of interior and exterior lights, fans, air conditioning, the awning, and more. The revamped user interface also includes exterior and interior images of the owner’s given Classic floor plan to “make it seamless for the user to identify and interact with the systems they want to control,” Airstream says.
