Airstream Announces Two New 30-Foot Globetrotter Travel Trailer Floor Plans With Queen & Twin Bed Options

Travel trailer buyers now have eight floor plan options for Airstream’s Globetrotter RV to consider. This after Airstream recently added the 30-foot (9.14-meter) 30RB Queen and 30RB Twin options, giving customers Globetrotter RV options spanning 23- (7-meter) to 30-foot lengths. As its name suggests, the 30RB Queen floor plan includes one queen bed, the 30RB Twin comes with a pair of twin beds.

The Spirit Of Adventure

Built on two axles and able to sleep six, Airstream’s 30-foot floor plans start at $119,400 and include a new living area layout featuring a “continuous lounge that wraps around the trailer’s front to the dinette area.” The plans also feature 22 windows, which Airstream says is more than ever. Elsewhere, a refreshed, convertible dinette provides a 38- x 78-inch (96.5- x 198-centimeter) sleeping space, while a convertible lounge provides another 38- x 84-inch (238.3-centimeter) sleeping area. Overall, the 30-foot models measure 30.92 feet (9.4 meters) long and 8.46 feet (2.58 meters) wide. They’re available in four décor options: London Grey, Barcelona Blue, Dublin Slate, and Copenhagen Cream.

Airstream says the Globetrotter captures the “spirit of adventure and the tradition of European design.” The company describes the 30RB Twin, for example, as featuring clean lines that “extend through every space from the moment you step inside, and the wide open living space with a plethora of windows lets natural light pour in from every angle.”

All Aboard

Compared to the 27-foot Globetrotter 27FB model’s 7,600-pound (3,447-kilogram) trailer capacity, the 30-foot models have an 8,800-pound (3,992-kilogram) rating. Net carrying capacity, meanwhile, is 1,810 pounds (821 kilograms) for the 30-foot models compared to 1,342 (609 kilograms) for the 27-foot Globetrotter. Besides Globetrotters, Airstream manufacturers the Classic, International Serenity, Flying Cloud, Caravel, Basecamp, Bambi, and Nest travel trailers, as well as the Atlas, Interstate Lounge EXT, Interstate Grand Tour EXT, Tommy Bahama Interstate, and Interstate Nineteen touring coaches.
