Keystone RV has made some enticing upgrades to its Alpine brand of luxury fifth wheels for the 2020 model year. The news making the biggest splash is the addition of the new Suburban Nautilus RL On-Demand Water Heater. “This revolutionary system allows campers an endless flow of hot water to their RV whenever and wherever, simultaneously from every fixture,” the company says.
The Nautilus RL, aimed at the comfort and convenience of full-time campers, uses a recirculating loop to heat water nearly instantaneously, Keystone says. As a result, there’s no need to waste water waiting for it to warm up.
“It can be a waiting game for the shower to heat up and perform in an efficient way,” says Alpine Product Manager Jeff Wagner. “With the implementation of the Nautilus RL, there is no waiting—hot water when showering, for dishes, or even for laundry is ready when you are.
“The Nautilus RL is something we are so excited about because it is a new and major way that we are giving campers the comforts of home,” Wagner says.
Other 2020 Upgrades
The new on-demand water heater seems like the perfect companion to Alpine’s new 3712KB front living floor plan, which comes with a huge 4- by 4-foot (1.2- by 1.2-meter) shower. Endowed with a seat and a subway tile backsplash, the shower is the largest offered in the RV industry, Alpine claims. Dual vanities and a roomy washer/dryer closet round out the 3712KB’s bathroom amenities and make it feel like home.
New exterior features include updated graphics and front cap paint, as well as a new textured skirt metal cover. Also new are Oracle tires with 24-hour roadside assistance for two years, Furrion side marker camera prep, double-insulated and laminated rear walls, and a storage compartment for the new electric power cord reel.
Interior upgrades include lighter color schemes, the new Stanton and Claridge décor options, a new king-sized mattress and nailhead-trimmed headboard, new solid surface countertops, new light fixtures with exposed Edison light bulbs, and a new legless dinette table.

Alpine will officially launch the 2020 models at the RV Open House in Elkhart, Indiana, September 23 to 27, but you can expect to see them start to appear a few weeks before then.
