Thor Motor Coach recently laid out the wide variety of enhancements coming to its 2020 range of Class A and Class C motorhomes and toy haulers, with a major highlight being that the Winegard ConnecT 2.0 4G LTE router and Wi-Fi extender now come standard on all models. One model featured in the announcement, the Challenger Class A Gas motorhome, will have a newly redesigned dash with a “floating radio feature,” which will complement the RV’s already impressive interior. Here are a few other highlights for anyone thinking about taking the Challenger on their next road trip.

Make It Your Own

There are four floor plans available for the 2020 Challenger, including the 35MQ, 37FH, 37TB, and 37YT, which range in length from 37 to 38.9 feet (11.3 to 11.9 meters). You also have the choice of Glacier Park, Jet Set, or Shoreline interior color schemes and either Amherst or Pacific cabinets. In addition to residential vinyl flooring and LED lighting throughout, the Challenger interior features an 84-inch (2.1-meter) ceiling height, a leatherette Dream Dinette booth, a sofa bed, and inclining theater seating (35MQ model). Other highlights include a king-size bed, a glass door shower with skylight, and a stainless-steel refrigerator, microwave, and double-bowl sink in the kitchen.

Under The Hood, Behind The Wheel & In The Great Outdoors

The Challenger is built on a Ford F-53 chassis and features a 6.8-liter Triton V10 engine that produces 320 horsepower (238.6 kilowatts) and 460 pounds-foot (623.7 newton meters) of torque and a TorqShift six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The cockpit has a power adjustable driver’s seat, heated, remote-controlled mirrors with side-view cameras, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen dash radio with Bluetooth, Axxera Navigation, and SiriusXM Radio. Exterior features include a basement pass-through storage compartment, power awning with integrated LED lighting, power entry door awning and slide-out room topper awnings, automatic leveling jacks with touchpad controls, and three paint color options.
