Airstream Introduces Two New Touring Coaches

Airstream is on track to release seven all-new travel trailers and touring coaches this year. The company most recently unveiled two of the new touring coaches, the Interstate EXT Slate Edition touring coach, available in Grand and Lounge floor plans, and the Tommy Bahama Special Edition Atlas touring coach. The latter is described as Airstream’s most luxurious touring coach ever and is the result of combining Airstream’s design with the advanced performance of Mercedes-Benz.

Interstate EXT Slate Edition

Creating “an atmosphere of opulence” and featuring 50-plus “best-in-class” features also found in the existing Interstate model, the Interstate EXT Slate Edition starts at roughly $169,800 for both the Grand and Lounge versions. Airstream says the Interstate is the top-selling Mercedes-Benz Class B vehicle for six consecutive years.

The Slate Edition will be available in a limited run of 75 individually numbered units in silver or a “very limited” Tenorite Grey Metallic exterior and will feature new exterior badging, power ottomans/jackknife seats, and new interior décor. New décor touches include luxe two-tone cabinetry, black and pearl diamond Ultraleather seat upholstery with “plush” diamond stitching, and Deep Night Sky Corian countertops. The Lounge version offers a Multiplex control system for technology and lighting features, “European-style high-gloss cabinetry” created from Italian veneer, and advanced Mercedes-Benz safety systems.

Tommy Bahama Special Edition Atlas

Starting at about $221,000, the Atlas offers “rich appointed high-end finishes, a wider body, and a horizon-expanding power slide-out Murphy Suite,” Airstream says. The new Tommy Bahama Atlas Special Edition adds a “lighthearted, island style in true sophisticated fashion,” including ”warm woods, soft textures, and tropical accents.” Features include a built-in bar cabinet, exclusive Tommy Bahama accessory kit that includes chairs and a cooler, Tommy Bahama bedding and accent pillows, Caribbean matte-finish cabinetry and accent graphics, and OceanAir wood blinds and shutter-style bathroom door.
