Airstream Announces New Features & Options For 2019 Lineup
Airstream recently announced improvements, changes, and new options for its 2019 lineup of travel trailers and touring coaches. The offerings include new décor choices, new standard features, battery and generator updates, and an optional self-leveling system and cabin carpet kit.
Establishing Basecamp
New features across Airstream’s entire 2019 travel trailer lineup—which includes the Classic, Globetrotter, Tommy Bahama, International Serenity, International Signature, Flying Cloud, Sport, and Basecamp trailers—will include a three-year transferable limited warranty, three years of Coach-Net roadside assistance, and hanging wardrobes in all twin-bed floorplans. Other features relate to bedroom fans, better impact-resistant and weatherproof removable material in storage compartments, and a bigger bathroom mirror in the Flying Cloud 30RB and 30FB bunk models.
Various 2019 models will also now come standard with a rearview camera, power patio awning, and window awning package. New updates specifically for the entry-level Basecamp will include a new Glacier Lake décor palette, new flooring color, heavy-duty stabilizer jacks, and an updated entry door. A new 2019 BasecampX package, meanwhile, will offer features and accessories designed for “all-terrain use,” including Goodyear Wrangler tires, black shadow wheel design, raised hitch jack foot pad, stainless steel rock guards, and solar window guards.
Coach Features
Changes to Airstream’s 2019 touring coaches will include a new battery power pack and new auto-generator start integrated into the Multiplex system of the Interstate Grand Tour EXT and Interstate Lounge EXT models. Both coaches also include a hydraulic-leveling jack system as an optional purchase. All Airstream 2019 touring coach models will offer an optional non-slip, stain-resistant rear-cabin carpet kit.
