Persistence Gets Results For Off-Season Motorhome Seller In Massachusetts
Selling an RV in late fall or early winter in New England can be a challenge, as not many people are in the market that far out of season. But when you’re ready to sell, you’re ready to sell, so a pair of sellers in Massachusetts went ahead and listed their 2014 Entegra Coach Aspire 44U diesel Class A motorhome with RVUniverse in November 2024.
About The Entegra Coach Aspire 44U
The 45-foot Entegra Coach Aspire 44U has four slide-outs, a fireplace, a residential refrigerator, four TVs, a full-size rear bath, a half-bath mid-coach, and a hydraulic bike lift. It sleeps up to six people and has a king-size bed with an air-adjustable mattress, a sleeper sofa, and a convertible dinette. At the time of sale, this particular 44U had 63,000 miles on it.
Eye-Catching Advertising
The sellers started with a price of $169,000, which was about $35,000 over market value, but they felt confident they could get it. The RV was advertised with an editorial ad in RVUniverse magazine, which provides increased space for multiple photos of an RV’s interior and exterior, as well as details about its features. An editorial ad also receives a corresponding premium listing with priority placement in search results on RVUniverse.com.
The ads generated interest, receiving calls every month and thousands of views, but for months, the RV remained unsold. The sellers stuck with their editorial ads and eventually lowered their price to $140,000, moving it in line with the RV’s value according to FleetEvaluator. The Entegra Coach RV finally sold for $136,000 in September 2025 to a buyer who saw it in RVUniverse magazine. The buyers, who were on vacation, altered their route to include a stop to see the RV in person. On their return trip through the town, they bought the Entegra Coach motorhome.
Patience & Persistence Pay Off
“Many people run an ad for a month and then drop it, expecting their six-figure RV to sell in a short period of time,” says RVUniverse sales rep Jorden Swayze. “This seller ultimately succeeded, even if it took longer and they got less than they initially hoped, because they stuck with the advertising and understood what was happening in the market. Every month, thousands of people buy RVs. All it took was for that one person out of 800,000 views to settle on buying it.”
