You get free, accurate valuations, including asking, market, and auction values, for construction equipment, farm machinery, semi-trucks, and trailers. The mobile-friendly VIP enables you to run valuations from your customer’s property, a live auction, or anywhere your business takes you.
How It Works
You can access VIP via the button on the app home screen or homepage of any Sandhills trade site like MachineryTrader.com, through the VIP app in the Sandhills Cloud, or directly at platform subdomain addresses like VIP.TractorHouse.com and VIP.LiftsToday.com.
Log in with your existing Sandhills username and password. Valuations are free for up to five assets per day if you provide the asset’s vehicle identification number (VIN) or serial number, or if you are advertising it through Sandhills. Contact your Sandhills rep if you need more valuations.
Past & Future Value
The portal also includes tools to help you assess past value trends and estimate future value. The Market Snapshot feature gives you an overview of recent auction and asking value trends in major equipment, truck, and trailer categories. FutureCast predicts market and auction values for the next 12 months. The tool factors in depreciation, industry production numbers, accumulating hours and miles, and other variables specific to the asset type. FutureCast also considers seasonal cycles and regional considerations that impact economic trends and current market conditions.

VIN/Serial Photo Artificial Intelligence
To start a VIP valuation, upload a photo of a VIN plate or serial number sticker. VIP’s AI-driven image recognition will read the number and try to automatically fill in the asset’s make, model, category, and other information. Users say Sandhills’ image recognition is easier than entering the VIN/SN manually (which you can do if you like) and reduces the chance for typos, although you can correct the VIN/SN and machine info if the AI gets it wrong.
